Mechanical Tempest is Poneke’s community bicycle workshop. It is entirely volunteer-run. We empower people to maintain and repair their own bicycles, reuse secondhand parts, divert waste from landfills, and enjoy the freedom that bicycle transportation brings! We've been operating since 2003. We do NOT charge a fee for using the workshop or any of our parts, but we do ask that you leave some money (or snacks!) as koha, which goes towards keeping the shop running. Want to help out?
