Crows Nest Dream
This proposed new trail area has been in the making for several years. If successful, it will mean trails in an area not currently served.
Proposal
The proposal is for three new trails to go into this area above the Silverstream development in Crofton Downs. The new trails are:
One trail starting from the Skyline track running down to the Silversky trail (Upper Silversky will be grade 4)
Two other trails coming off the top of Crows Nest will be Grades 5/6.
Trails Wellington has worked with the local Trail Walking Group and WCC to develop this plan and proposal for WCC consideration.
This opportunity has been through public consultation and is planned to be discussed by WCC Councillors in September 2025.
